Who we are
This app ("Vigil", "the App") is published by Incrementum Technologies and Entrepreneurship Ltd ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@incrementumtech.com.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. Specifically:
- Camera. The App needs camera access to watch the area you point it at. The camera feed is analyzed live, on your device, to detect people and vehicles. Frames are never saved, never recorded, and never transmitted off your device.
- Microphone (only if you turn on Sound detection). When enabled, the App uses the microphone to listen for sudden sounds — such as footsteps or a car driving up — and analyzes the audio live, on your device, to decide whether to sound the alarm. It is never recorded, never saved, and never transmitted off your device. Sound detection is off by default.
- Settings. Your in-app preferences (such as detection sensitivity, arming countdown, and re-arm options) are stored locally on your device. They are accessible only to the App and are removed when you delete it.
- No accounts. The App has no login, no sign-up, and no user profiles.
- No analytics or tracking. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Purchases and subscriptions
The App offers paid subscriptions and a one-time purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
- Your subscription status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit using your Apple ID. We do not keep our own copy of your purchase history.
- Restoring purchases uses your Apple ID via Apple's services.
- Apple's handling of your purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions we request
- Camera — required for the App to function. Without it, the App cannot detect motion. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings; the App's core feature will stop working until it is granted again.
- Microphone — optional, requested only when you enable Sound detection. Without it, Sound detection stays off and the rest of the App works normally. You can revoke it at any time in your device's Settings.
How your information is used
Because the App does not collect personal data, there is no personal information for us to use, share, sell, or disclose. The on-device camera analysis is used solely to sound the alarm in real time and is discarded immediately after each frame is processed.
Data sharing and disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose personal information to anyone, because we do not collect it. The App makes no network requests to our servers — we operate none for the App's functionality.
Data retention
We retain no personal data. Your local settings remain on your device until you change them or delete the App. Deleting the App removes them.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the App collects no personal data at all, no such information is gathered from users of any age.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — for example, the right to access or delete your personal data. Because we do not collect or store personal data, we hold nothing to access or delete. Your local settings are under your control on your own device. Security
Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data in transit or stored on our servers to be exposed. On-device data is protected by your device's standard operating-system security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this page. Material changes will be reflected here.
